Ryan ‘Seals’ the points for Hinckley AFC

Racing Club Warwick 1-7 (seven) Hinckley AFC

A miserable night for all those attached to Racing Club Warwick as they’re beaten by a well drilled Hinckley side.

After an even opening five minutes it was Hinckley who were able to produce the first half chance of the match as Sean Williams made his way into the box from the right wing before blazing over the bar. It wasn’t long until he was able to make amends, in the eighth minute he received the ball with his back to goal before turning well and beating Caniezel-Cox at the near post with a low driven shot.

The match remained even through the next 20 minutes though Hinckley looked the more likely of the two to score as they continued to have joy down the right hand side with Butler hitting the side netting. Hinckley made the pressure pay in the 36th minute as Agar doubled the lead with a fantastic drilled shot which gave the keeper little chance.

The half time pints and pies were hardly finished when Seal was on the end of a good dummy from Agar after fantastic link up the two and Williams. The Hinckley captain finished off the move with a calm right footed shot into the bottom corner to extend the visitors lead to three.

Hinckley continued to apply pressure with Seal again working a good chance for himself weaving through defenders in the box before shooting just wide of the right hand upright.

Warwick’s first good chance came in the 54th minute when Malley was able to force a good save from Whitcombe in the Hinckley goal. It was Malley who was finally able to pierce the Hinckley defence with a superb individual goal as he took it down the left hand side before cutting into the box and finishing well to give Warwick some hope.

It was in the 81st minute the match was well and truly sealed as a Hinckley fourth goal came. Roberts produced some good play before laying the ball off to Seal who slotted home.

The floodgates well and truly opened in the last five minutes with Mark Williams heading home from a Ryan Seal corner. Moments later Seal cut out the middle man and scored directly from the corner claiming his hat-trick and Hinckley’s sixth. That wasn’t the end of the scoring as the hosts well and truly collapsed, Roberts was able to score a seventh for the visitors with a header.

A result that in some ways flattered the visitors as Warwick collapsed in the final five minutes but take nothing away from Hinckley who were definitely the better side on the night. The result sees Hinckley rise to third five points behind the leaders Bromsgrove Sporting, who have a game in hand, while Warwick remain sixth.
